Courage Ireland

To encourage, support & equip those who need a safe place to explore issues around homosexuality. To help people to reconcile their faith and sexuality, and to grow towards maturity.

Hello.

Welcome to Courage Ireland and our little webpage. We're glad you found us.

We want to do this especially in 3 areas:

  1. There are many who find that they are attracted to those of the same sex but who know that there is a lot of prejudice out there, and so out of fear or anxiety, do not know who, how or where they can talk. We want to offer friendship, and an accepting, non-judgmental, safe place to put words on what is going on.
  2. Others have decided to come out as gay or lesbian, and now find that they have a spiritual search or hunger. However the Church and Christians in general have not been known for their acceptance, and so any spiritual search remains a lonely and frustrating experience. We want to be able to help in this.
  3. There are families who are left confused and uncertain as a loved-one begins to explore their sexuality. We want to be able to support families and friends in this process.

We are a network of committed Christians.

We want to be able to do this through befriending, and developing a safe  relational network throughout the country. Also through developing a network of small groups for exploring faith. And hosting seminars and retreats when the need arises. We are not a counselling group, but we are here for support.
